Hilton just north of Pietermaritzburg in South Africa the southern gateway to the Midlands Meander. Hilton is a small Natal Midlands town offering a perfect stop for tourists to overnight while on route through the area. Hilton is a great base for the nightlife of Petermaritzburg while still away from it all. Private schools like St Annes and Hilton College are located here too. This tends to make accommodation in Hilton overly booked at times when parents are allowed to vist their children boarding at the Hilton private schools
