Weddings in the CountryThe spectacular natural beauty, warm hospitality and graceful style of The Bend, makes it the ideal venue for a romantic getaway in which to celebrate your wedding, be it an intimate elopement or an elegant dinner dance for 140 guests.The weddings hosted by The Bend all turn out to be "weekend" events as the party continues through the night, and ends with a Champagne Brunch the following day. We can provide a complete service including liaising with the minister, the photographer, the florist and the musicians. You will find that once you have made the decision to have us host your wedding, everything will run as you wish it to, leaving you free to relax and enjoy what will be one of the most exciting and unforgettable days of your lives. Conferences at the BendThe Bend Country House will provide you with the ideal venue for your workshop or strategic planning session. We cater for up to 25 delegates in shared accommodation and can place 9 double bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, at you disposal.Additional accommodation is also available in our cottages, all of which are close to the main lodge. We have 3 break away rooms and can supply the basic equipment, including overhead projector and screen, flipchart, white board and TV and video. We also offer fax and e-mail facilities in our office. We are small enough to ensure that your requirements are dealt with personally, yet pride ourselves on our professionalism. In addition to this, The Bend offers a wide range of outdoor activities from fly fishing and horse riding to paragliding, which together with luxury accommodation, superb food, an intimate pub, log fires and warm hospitality, promises a breakaway that will be both productive and highly enjoyable for all concerned.Directions to the BendOn the N3, take the Nottingham Road / Mount West Off Ramp. Turn right to the village of Nottingham Road & proceed for 7 km to the R103. Then turn right at the Nottingham Road / Mooi River sign and pass under the old railway bridge. Keep right, passing the Sherwood Service Station and the Stockyards, which will be on your left. At the Police Station, turn left onto the Sani Pass road and travel for about 13 km. At the district road D361, turn right and continue for a further 4km, following the signs to The Bend.
