Stoney Ridge offers 4x4 accommodation and 4x4 trails / training in the bushveld near Weenen. Accommodation at Stoneyridge is in Phumula Bush camp, which is situated in the magnificent malaria free wilderness of the Thukela Biosphere Reserve in the riverine forest on the banks of the beautiful Bloukranz River on over 6000 acres of natural unspoiled bush.
 The
luxury-tented accommodation at Stoney Ridge caters for up to 24 guests and a
beautiful thatched cottage. The food is a gourmets delight, full farmhouse
breakfast, light lunch and sumptuous dinner, either served around the campfire
or in the large boma with log fires and bar. It is the ideal family
destination and children are welcome.
Stoney Ridge 's camp is geared for 4x4 trails of varying degrees of difficulty. There are no man made obstacles. All courses use natural terrain such as steep slopes, rock steps, sand, and river crossings, shale slopes. Etc Courses are held over a two-day period and includes a lecture. GPS courses can also be included. Other activities include - birding, 290 species. Hiking (packed lunch provided) Mountain bike trails, photographic courses can be arranged. facilities: These are very strong; secure tents which are off the ground under
the shade of the trees. Camp ablutions are available. They are fully serviced.
A safe is available in the main house. Soap is provided. T.V. is only
organized when important games are on. Tea and coffee is served in the boma.
