
Randburg is a town of the northwestern edge of Johannesburg in South Africa and consists of 32 suburbs that were amalgamated on the 1 July 1959. The name "Randburg" is derived from the South African currency the Rand, which replaced the pound sterling in 1959. Of interest in the Randburg area is the municipal art collection and a privately owned vintage car museum on the banks of the Klein Junskei River.
