In close proximity there are excellent golf courses, trout filled dams, horse riding trails, restaurants and pubs. Mountain View is ideally situated for day trips to the various scenic areas in the Drakensberg Mountains. Mountain View is also conveniently located for all private schools in the Midlands, Mountain View Country House is the perfect "stay over" for visitors to Treverton, Clifton, Weston, Michaelhouse and Kings. Luxury guest accommodation ensures the exclusivity of the Mountain View experience. The bed and breakfast accommodation in the luxury guest rooms with en-suite bathrooms, have separate entrances and an outside patio. They also have underfloor heating, electric blankets, television (including M-Net), a bar fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. The fully self-contained luxury cottages provide accommodation on a Bed and Breakfast or Self-Catering basis. Each cottage has an open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area and a large covered veranda with views of the Natal Midlands and the Drakensberg Mountains. There is an open fire place and television including M-Net in the lounge, one double bedroom with en-suite facilities and one twin bedroom with en-suite facilities. The cottages are serviced daily. Traditional country breakfasts are served in the Mountain View veranda dining room, while lunch and/or dinner can be arranged for guests at one of the excellent local restaurants or bistros.
