Lions River

Lions River is situated in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands and offers a town with little more than a trading store and an interesting name. Of course the Lions River passes the store. The Lions River conservation District covers some 2415 sq. KM and includes areas of the mistbelt grasslands, beacon hill (Declared a site of conservation significance), Breeding sites of the rare Karkloof Blue Butterfly, and home to the protected Blue Swallows, Cape parrots, Black stinkwood, cranes and oribi.
