
Kimberley is the capital of the Northern Cape Province and is situated almost at the centre of South Africa at an altitude of 1200m [3930 ft]. The big hole of Kimberley is the main tourist attraction of the town. Kimberly makes for a good stop over when travelling from Johannesburg to Cape Town. There are regular flights to/from Kimerley - Johannesburg (± 1hr 20mins) and Kimberley - Cape Town (±2hr 30mins).
