• The Antbear Guest House - Guesthouse accommodation in the Central Drakensberg near Kamberg My favorite accommodation hideaway ever. Of course the Antbear has beautiful views, excellent food and uniquely decorated interiors but its the hosts Conny and Andrew who make the experience so welcoming.

• Old Jail House Inn and Restaurant - Affordable Self catering accommodation in the Kamberg Valley This self catering cottage offers a restaurant and quad bike trails on the property to boot. Affordable prices and hospitable hosts. Nuno and Carmen make this Kamberg accommodation something really special.

• Engeleni Lodge & Mayfly Cottage - Lodge accommodation in the Kamberg Valley with excellent trout and fly fishing. Sue and Graham are your hosts at Engeleni Lodge and Mayfly Cottage and you would go far to find a host that is this entertaining. Sue is passionate about the Kamberg Valley and everyone I have who meets her comes away with some of that energy and excitement with intentions to return the the Kamberg.

• Cleopatra Mountain Farmhouse - Accommodation in the Southern Drakensberg near Kamberg Cleopatra is a gourmet paradise and if you are the foodie type then this place is not to be missed. Prepare to really pig out. This one comes on my highly recommended list

• Heronmoor Cottage - Self Catering accommodation near Kamberg

• Kamberg Nature Reserve - Self catering cottages in the KwaZulu Natal Parks Board Camp The chalets are a little small and are very basic. The location does make up for it though.
