
Graskop (grassy hill) is on the edge of the Klein Drakensberg escarpment, with spectacular views of the lowveld, almost 1000 metres below. Like many towns in the area, Graskop originated as a gold mining camp in the 1880’s and still has something of the feel of a Wild West town.
