South Africa Cultural Package Tour

Day1:
Starting at Port Elizabeth we visit Addo Elephant Park and travel to Salem an 1820 settler village before going on to the former garrison town of Grahamstown where we spend the night.

Day2:
We travel along the Queens Road in Frontier Country to Fort Beaufort and then to a town called Alice where we visit the historic Fort Hare University and Lovedale College, which played a significant role in our country's history. We then travel up the beautiful Kat River Valley where we spend the night in a country hotel at the foot of the Katberg Mountains.

Day3:
Today we visit a typical South African farm. For the more energetic a visit may be made to a bushman rock art site. In the afternoon we visit Mgwali Village where we experience true Xhosa culture like the pipe-maker - story-teller, before spending the night in another fine country hotel.

Day4 and 5:
Culutal package tour today goes through the Transkei we visit the place where Nelson Mandela spent his early childhood. Then head for the spectacular Wild Coast where we spend two nights.A walk may be enjoyed to see up close how the local Xhosa people live and to learn more of their customs and ways.

Day6:
We head for Durban and the rolling hills and sugarcane fields in the land of the Zulu.
