Birding False Bay Park & Mkuzi national Park makes for a perfect three day birding safari

07h00 departure for Zululand and the shores of Lake St Lucia for a tour of the Lake and its birdlife, then on to False Bay Park, an area noted for its rich diversity and concentrations of avifauna. Spend the day birding this area following our guide through this dense forested area. The first evening will be spent at a lodge in the immediate vicinity.

An early morning rise and immediately into the bush for the best time of the day to view birds. Return for breakfast / brunch and then depart for the Mkuzi Game Reserve. This game reserved is renowned for its high density of a vast number of birds, one of the areas to go birding. The afternoon and following day will be spent here, at the hides overlooking the pans or walking through the 'fig forest' etc.

Birding St Lucia & Ndumo also makes for a perfect three day birding safari An 07h00 departure from Durban ensures arriving at Lake St Lucia for a launch tour timeously. Emphasis will be on viewing the birds although hippo and crocodile will also be seen.

Then proceed to Maputaland and here stay at the luxury 'Wilderness Safaris' tented camp in the Ndumo Game Reserve for two nights  This reserve is renowned for its birding, although the Park also hosts a wide variety of Fauna including high concentrations of Black and White Rhino. The third day could be spent visiting either Mkuzi Game Reserve or the Kosi Lake system before returning to Durban late afternoon.
